Discovered in the Netherlands by F. J. Grootendorst as a sport of the rose that bears his namesake. The petals of the small, dusty rose pink flowers are decorated with endearing fringes and resemble carnation blooms more so than roses. The flowers appear in abubdance throughout the growing season adding old-world charm to beds and landscapes. Dark, rich green foliage shrugs off rose maladies as well as the most disease resistant modern roses. Hardy in zone 4. Grown own root.
