This splendid rose has been gracing landscapes since 1905. Throughout the summer, it offers a repeated display of reddish violet, double flowers that perfume the air with their spicy clove fragrance. Large, bright red rose hips follow in fall when the rugose, dark green foliage takes on orange hues. Rarely bothered by insects or disease. Plants fill in nicely for screening. Hardy to Zone 3. Performs well with as few as 4 hours of sun.
To maintain the health of the plants and ensure your roses arrive in optimal condition, we may defoliate them before shipping. Plant them as soon as possible and water each with two gallons of water mixed with a soluble plant food. With proper care, your roses will quickly establish themselves after planting.
